what could cause the turn signal lights to keep blowing on a 95 sunfire 2.2 ? currently I have a piece of wire i nthere which isnt to safe .
The problem is lies in the light sockets which may be the front or rear sockets, which the bulbs insert into.My recomm is to remove the bulbs from the front and rear turn signal sockets and check for burn marks or contacts that are deformed or corroded or burnt in color. This is a common issue with alot of cars and the best thing to do is to replace the whole bulb socket.Auto zone, advance may carry what u need, just check them out worst case by a NEW socket from the dealer.Do not buy used sockets bc u will end with the same problem.Advance may b the best choice but,I think more than likely ur local gm dlr is where u will have to go.What happens is the bulbs or bulb makes a bad contact and gets hot and blows the fuse.OK I know this will correct the issue.
if that dosn't fix it, youl will have a short sum where or a high load, could be turn signal flasher, bad wire, or a bad multifunction switch
yep im gonna check the connections in the morning , I put a bobby pin in the fuse spot and it burned it :O
what else is ran off that fuse it says flasher and B/O or something ?

Don't do that! You can cause further problems if you put in a wire that can handle higher amperage than the rest of the circuit can handle. Problems like melting all the wires on that circuit!
yah i know but cant drive around with no signals until i could fix it , gonna have to try fix it today
Well the back signals look ok , the front is such a a^$ to get at im gonna wai till a nicer day to check them, all day today I ran and only blew the 20 a fuse about 2 hours ago must be something stupid somewhere. is there anything else hat runs off the fuse ?
well if its back up lights that could be the problem because sometimes they work and sometimes they dont , so i ook a guess and took the connections off the bulb and it did take longer for the fuse to blow but it did blow , anyone know how i can fix this ? if the conenctions are unhooekd how can they be a problem.
u must have a positive wire worn through and causing a short to ground wich is blowing your fues...
