Just wondering how hard it is to install a new valve cover gasket.
All the Mechanics say it's a 8hr job on a 2.4.
Is that really true ?
Any help would be great !

i cant imagine it being 8hrs. maybe a head gasket is 8hrs.
im not positive on it though but i know when i did my valve cover gasket on my 2.2 it took about 20 mins to replace
2.4's dont have a "valve cover gasket". Double check what gasket you're talking about, and post back...
...lol are you @!#$ting me? its a VALVE cover gasket not a timing gasket
ive never done it but i need to soon it looks like 8 or so bolts on each side and put on a new gasket
Yeah dude they're talking head gasket

There are 2 bolts that you dont see that are behind the cam gear.In order to get to them, you have to remove the timing chain.
