Just recently my car has been acting funny when i turn it on the lights flash and the check engine light comes on. Now it only does this if i dont turn my lights on right away if i leave my lights off the engine lights comes on if i turn them on no engine light. now could this mean there is a short somewhere with my Day time runing lights or what do you think could cause that?

I'd go get the code read. I think you can get it read at like autozone for free.
