I currently own a 1994 Cavalier. I know (from experience) and from working on cars for peole that the 2.2L have a problem with the headgaskets. I have replaced mine once before and now it is leaking again. I am actually considering getting a new car, and I was wondering if anyone knows if thy still have issues on the 2.2L with headgaskets, or if the problem has been remedied on the newer models. I really like my cavalier, and I like the newer ones as well. Thanks in advance for any information relating to this matter.

all else fails get a 2.4, or sumthing with an Ecotec. im not sure if they fixed the head gasket problem or not, but my mom has a 99 cav with a 2200 with over 120,000 miles on it and the only gasket i've had to change was the vavle cover gasket

ok, hey thanks for the help, I dunno either...I just know it is a pain to change..LOL, I haven't heard too many good things about the 2.4L either, but you never know. I will sure consider the cavy's again.
