I am looking at a 96 cav with a 2.2 in it and the woman that owned it said it over heated at the gas pump so she shut it off, and now it wount start. I looked at this car an it has a leak at the bottom radiator hose on the passanger side of the car at the radiator. It will crank over but wont fire. So I know it could be alllll kinds of things, has anyone had this problem? It is not my car yet but I just might be because the price is right.

check the plugs maybe? the over heating may have screwed them up. while your at it do a compression test. im no expert so i could be talking nonsense.

does it crank?? may need to check the starter.
