The passenger side of my 1994 2dr is collecting some serious water, both front and back. Does anybody else have this problem? I saw some posts for 1995's with a similar issue but they're a different gen. I can't see anywhere in the floorpan where the water could flow from front to rear so I assume this means I have a minimum of 2 leaks? The drivers side is completely dry.
Let me know if there's an easy fix! I live in Victoria BC so there's no point waiting for the rain to let up
if you have a power cable run on the outside of the car comming in thru the side of the door it could do that.
I don't know any other way it could happen. Someone else should chime in.
I'd start by pulling off your door panel, and pull the carpeting up. At least make sure its drying out, or it will mold. This should also make it easier to see where the water is coming in from.

well, if you wanna see if you have leaks in your floor or not what i would do is add some more water to what is there and some dye.
through a piece of cardboard (preferably white) underneath the passanger side and see if you got a drip. this is best done in a dry place such as a garage. enjoy.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
Are you sure it's water and not anti-freeze? It could be your heater core is bad. Good luck and let us know what you find.
DAMN!
I was hoping no one would say that. The heater core is behind the glove box right? that would explain the trails I found running down the pass. floormat. It would also explain why it seems to leak regardless of the weather. I've had a slow coolant leak for a year or so which I couldn't find an therefore gave up on. I've just been refilling with - WATER!.
So, if there's anyone out there who's swapped a core on my gen., let me know any tips or tricks. I have a feeling it's a B**** of a job, right?
PS - it is nota power cable, I ran my system through the driver side which is dry.
PPS - If it is the heater core, how is the rear passenger floor wet? where would it get through?
If it's been leaking as long as you say it has, maybe it traveled under the carpet. Good luck.
I had a bad leak in my car heres what i did...
Take a hose ( or if its already raining outside skip this step ) hold the hose on top of your car somehow ( i used a brick wrapped in a towl to hold the hose up there ) and turn it on. Let it run down your car for a little while. Turn it off and get in your car. Have someone else turn it back on and start looking around for a leak.
Mine was leaking from the top of the windshield and flowing all the way down my A pillar all the way down to the floor. So obviously i thought it was leaking from the floor somewhere until i did the hose thing and followed it back up top. Good luck.

Have you been running the defroster or any function that has the "AC" light on the air condition control head lite up?
"air conditioning"...... That's a good one!
given the condition of my car, it is extremely fortunate that it is not A/C equipped. I don't thin I could afford to lose the 2 hp. By the way, checked the coolant level and compared it to the soup level.... there's no way it is the heater core, I would be missing alot more. It' supposed to be dry tomorow so I'll break out the hose after my midterms. That or the tube of acrylic latex (hey, it's paintable!)
No AC? Well there goes my theroy.
That's gotta suck ass in the summer.
