HUH? mine work ok.
Actually, the reason i replaced my stocker one was i replaced it 11 times only for it to stop working a week later. These are OEM replacements im talking about. I even replaced the wiring and relys the last 4 times. So i said F it. So i went and bought air horns, ive had no problems since in 6 + months.
my horn is 6 years old, it's the original horn and it still works. Maybe it's your luck?
Also horns don't last forever either, so maybe it's age, or over use?

i don't even know if my horn works, i just use my finger most of the time
The main problem with the horn is how the spring is held in place in the column. The plastic sleeve in the column has a spot that a plastic tab on the spring slides into to lock it into place. That little piece of plastic on the sleeve breaks & the spring no longer has solid contact & thus you get a horn that either doesnt work or sometimes does... @!#$ty design

That's what happened with mine.... any clue how to change that sleeve?
replace the clock spring

where did u get your horns? how do they sound
i remember on one car i replaced the signal switch and then it would only work when the steering wheel was sideways and not straight.lol so should i be looking in the steering colum itself?... theres no sence in checking the voltage to the horn wires because i would hear the relay click in the pass. side of the car if that was the case. where exactly is this spring im looking for ect?

It has nothing to do with the clock spring. The black sleeve that breaks is below the mounting hub on the left side of the column opposite the horn grounding clip. Only thing I've ever done to fix the horn problem is use a little bit of brake quite on the white plastic part of the horn spring that locks into that black sleeve. Get the spring in where you want it with brake quiet on it, secure it there till it cures a bit then test & put the horn back together. Using something like brake quiet to hold it in place works well since it allowes you to remove the spring again if you need to. Never looked into replacing the actual sleeve.
does anyone have pictures of this disassembled ? im quite confused assume i take the whole blinker switch off what should i be looking for
no u pull the aitr bag off, and then there is a little black tube w/ a spring in it
trm95z
ya i completely didnt realize that's wat u were talkin about lol
wow how the hell do u pull the air bag off?
by disconnectiong the relay and taking the screws out.
ive never had a problem w/ my horn. i also never use it so that could be a reason
I had my horn die before - had to get a new one in order to pass inspection.
Mine has been dead for nearly a year...replaced it yesterday with one out of a large ford van...works great...haha

Well funny thing, there is two 24" long airhorns in the front bumper and two 18" long airhorns in the front fenders, 1 on each side.
Mine are maglit, a knockoff of WOLO. And they are damn loud, Normal horn presses are loud, and when my Alarm goes off, twice as loud. They sound just like a MAC truck. I love em.

Unplug fuse, drink beer (or other beverage of choice) chill for a few minutes.
On the back side of the steering wheel there are 2 screws. Remove those.
Remove airbag.
Take caution removing the little black plug from the sleeve or the sleeve may break.
and so u know the two screws in back of the bag are Torx, i belive they are T20 or T15
Two of my friends say my horn sounds "gay". But they drive a Civic and an Explorer.
theres a relay under the dash on the pass side, don't kno exactly where but its there, mine clicked but no horn, i put in a new horn.... works great
yea min doesnt even click. so its either the thing behind airbag or relay it self i havent had a chance to get behind there yet and check it out

Just for reference the screws are Torx T30 (or at least mine were).
