Stall Issues. 2.4L

Just remembered this one. When I first start the car up the engine seems as if it can't get it's idle speed right. However if I give it 20 secs and tap the gas to 2k rpm I don't have any issues. It only happens when the car is cold. When warm I just starts up and goes. Is there an air temp gauge that has to calibrate before the engine is up to snuff?

pretty much both of my 96 z24's do it.. i always let them warm up before driving anyway so it doesnt bother me. the auto will start at like 1100 and drop down to like 5-600 in like 20sec or less after starting the manual goes to like 1500 n drops down to 1000 or so. im not sure if its a sensor or anything but it doesnt bother me too much

This is not a problem, it purposely starts up at higher RPMS to heat up the engine. Then drops once it feels it is within better operating perameters.
