break light and turn signal problem

okay so i just got this 98 cavy and it doesnt have blinkers or break lights now i check all the fuses and as far as i know all the bulbs are still good.....anyone have any suggestions on what it is maybe...
oh and i do have running lights

just the blinkers and break lights dont work
oh and the hazzard lights

okay so i changed the combination switch and that wasnt the problem....come on guys i need some suggestions

Blinker fluid could be low. JK ! Did you check to see if the bulbs are good ? Guessing isn't good enough. Go check if you didn't.

all my bulbs are brand new

Well it sounds like the flasher unit could be the problem. According to my computer its located it looks like on a bracket at the top of the brake pedel. Thats also where your stop light switch is which would control the brake lights. Did you kick up under the dash accidently or something that may have unpluged the 2 ? I could see one of them going out but not both at the same time. Not unless one needs the other to work and that I don't know. Anyway the falsher unit even at the dealer is like $7.00 or $8.00 so ita a cheap enough check.

i ordered a flasher/hazared relay today from the dealership so hopefully thats the problem ive been told its under the passanger side of the dash.....im not sure about the break bracket i got the car with this problem so that makes it harder i have no idea how the car was treated
