So i had to change a rear wheel stud, and i took off the abs sensor to get everything off. Forgot to put it back on then went for a test drive, when i noticed the light was on i stopped right there, took the wheel off and snapped that sensor back in. Now the light is on still and i have no abs... I took the negative off over night to see if that would fix it but it hasn't. Any suggestions?
You need to clear the ABS codes. Is your Red Brake light illuminated on the dash? The same one that turns on when your Parking brake is on. That might also come on. I don't know if this will work but, pull of your ABS relay and then start the car. Drive it for a mile. Shut your car off and put the ABS relay back in and drive your car around like normal. It might turn the light off after a few drive cycles. It's when the car relearns.

You can do the same with its ABS fuse. Thats usually easier to remove.
Alright i will try this for sure, my brake light is not on, just the ABS light thanks guys
K i did this, the light went off for a bit and everything was fine, then it came back on and stopped working again. god damnit. i was sooo careful with that hub that i know i didn't break the sensor, any suggestions?
It is posable you blew your ABS pump. Use a Modus and read the ABS code.

Where do i get one of those? Where will read it for me? That would suck balls if i blew my pump... that doesn't seem like it would have caused me to blow it. But you never know i guess
Does the ABS activate and then the light comes on? I don't understand how you know the ABS stopped working unless you purposely slam on the brake. But I don't think your Hydraulic Modulator (ABS pump) got damaged from all of this. It seems to me it's the sensor. Did you check the connection, and the wires? You really need to just get the Code checked out. The price would depend on which shop you go to have a diagnostic check up. It could range from $40-$100.
Do i just need to go to like midas or something? or can auto zone do it?
My abs light on my dash comes on once and awhile and when it stays on the abs does not work, i have tried, and i almost went up over the curve in front of my house the other day because my abs did not work because the light was one.
My abs light just started messing up when i was cruesing one day over in p.e.i. with some fellow j's back last summer; now she comes on once in awhile and i am not sure why.......
Hope you get her fixed buddy.
