Crankshaft position sensor location
Friday, October 28, 2005 12:50 PM
Hey guys,

97 2.2 sunfire threw a code the other day. Just got it checked out...it's the Crankshaft position sensor.

Wondering where this sensor is. Thanks in advance.

I think this is in the back of the block towards the upper half of the motor. I need to change mine out too, crank and cam.

No offense taken, but sorry, I only lean on my own car.
If you're talking about my gauges in my pillar, the digital tach is from Stewart Warner (from Jason @ A+ Performance) and the air/fuel ratio is a sunpro..don't remember where I got it.

But back on track, we got our crankshaft sensor changed, it was on the front of the block above the oil filter. I've got a 2000 2.4 Cav. Anyways, if didn't help my problem.
