this question isnt for me but for a friend, he has a 96 gmc jimmy 2dr, anyways hes gotta do a e-test and his gas tank has a hole in the top of it, will his truck beable to pass the test?.......i told him i dont think so because they do the gas cap pressure test or whatever it is and it wont seal cause of the hole, anyone?

As far as I know, it should pass, they test the gas cap last I saw, not the tank. So as long has his gas cap is good he should be fine.

Yeah right I bet anything his CEL is on. The computer picks up EVAP leaks 1/20 an inch on 2000 and newer, and 1/40 on 2000 up. That thing will fail right away.
