hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this, check it out: when the car (03 cav 5 speed) is bone cold, I'll start to accelerate pretty much like a grandma. I don't really notice it in first gear, but second gear around 2500 rpm it seems like the car gets "stuck", if I hold the pedal steady it will basically start to stutter. If I want the car to go anywhere I have to get on it a tad, and the car wont react as normal it bucks and then continues like normal. Like I said it only happens when the car is bone cold, if its at operating temp it doesn't happen.
i think tons and tons of jbodies do this including both of mine no idea what the problem is could be a number of things. Try to warm it up before you drive its better for the car anyway and it probably wont do it
thanks man...thought I may have had a serious problem
Hmm...
when I'm doing a constant speed my car will all of a sudden start switching back and forth between 3rd and 4th gear (4 speed auto). It only does it when its extremely cold out and my car is "warmed up" to normal operating temperature. It even does it when I'm holding a constant speed (for example - 70-75 on a highway).
Does anyone know what it may be? I'm afraid one of these days my transmission is going to get busted up from it. I can feel the car basically "buck" when its deciding what it wants to do - either stay in fourth or drop down to third. Like I said though, it only seems to do it in winter driving - not summer which has me very confused.
