Last night me and a buddy are near his work and back behind the building there is a huge gravel parking lot. I decided to gun it and pull the e-brake...bored... So, I gun it hit about 20-30 and i pull the e-brake and do a few turns and come to a stop... I then release my e-brake and notice that my "E-Brake Light and ABS Light" on the dash are staying on... The brakes aren't dragging BUT the lights are staying on... I was wondering what you guys opinions are.. I think i just jammed up the sensor
IS there any way to release it? or reset it? thanks
It's not the ebrake.... more than you confused the computer by having the rear wheels locked up when they shouldn't have been.
(way to go!)
You'll have to take the battery cable off for a little while (30 minutes should do it, give you a chance to think about things... LOL). then reconnect it and it should reset.
I already tried that
It didn't do anything for my sensors... Same thing happened when I turned it back on today.. I did it before "Lenko" said that so JOHN DONT FEEL BAD, but the only thing it did was made me have to reconfigure my stereo and radar.. So.. Any other ideas?
Ok, then you broke something
Likely a wheel sensor. Which one? No idea. Check the code set with a code scanner, or get a GM Tech2 diagnostic tool and watch which wheel sensor trips up.
same thing has been on mine forever now..no one seems to be able to help me mine happen just after i got my remote start hooked up. I have access to tech2 but i dont think i can get a code for it although i will try. Wouldnt it have to be one of the back wheel sensors (if a sensor at all) since the ebrake light is on also?
I'm having the same problem... my ABS light and BRAKE light stay on... Wheel Sensor? I'll have to look into that... Let me know if that fixes it for you...

Wheel Sensor.. Hmm.. I went to autozone and to a local place that only carries chevrolet parts... The idiot at autozone said it didn't exist.. But I know it does cause its in my break down manual. So the guy at the other place said he could get one but he didn't have any idea where it went... Is it just on the hub? and you just put the new one in?
I think I found the fix to my problem... one of my nitrous lines was really close to the ground/Neg. terminal on my battery... Made the car hard to start, made lights come on and sometimes wouldn't start at all...
Check your grounds for your battery and make sure nothing metal is near it... You might have to clean the terminals where it attaches to the battery and where it grounds to the body...
