anyways here we go......this has happend a few times to me now, where ill go to start the car and it will just click, the interior lights will dim and the car wont start, happens all the time.....iv checked to make sure the batt cables are all tight which they are, well it happend again today so i popped the hood at the mall and the batt cables are very,very hot to the point that it melted the rubber ends off the battery.....its not the battery b/c it happend a week ago and i switched it out for this one, also my abs light is on constantly and its throwing no coes.........the car will rev to 4,000 rpm soemtiems but if i shut it off and on a few times then it will sit at 1500 and rev from 1500-2000 constantly.........will never idle proper and i got a po507 code which is something along the lines of :ilde air control rpm to high" also at certain throttle positions the car will bog..........im at the point now where i just wanna fix it and sell it as soon as possible, nothign but headaches

I would first check the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running to make sure the charging system is only putting out a max of 14.5 volts.

If this tests good disconnect the battery, clean the battery and cable terminals(Shiny clean) reconnect and try again.

The next step would be checking the Negative Battery cable to Engine/Chassis ground.

Disconnect the battery, remove the earth cable connection to earth, make sure the cable connector and the earthing point are clean and tighten everything back up.

There is either a high voltage or a high resistance somewhere in the battery cables or connections.
