Hey I'm 31 you calm down 😂

Ok so I'm new here but I have been through idk how many threads from the early 2001 to mid 2011 I have 96 s10 with an ln2 2.2l I'm replacing the factory engine with a quick factory regasketed running replacement so I can rebuild the factory on with a mild build and I was wondering if any of the older guys where around for some direct information vs searching and searching and trying to find the link and specs and tracking down parts and number give me a v8 I can build you a nasty play toy my 2.2l how ever I need info
Honestly the 2.2 you wont find a lot for at this point.
It was barely supported back in the day and now it's more or less forgetten. If you were looking to stick 4 cylinder I'd say go eco, or go full on fun and ls swap it lol
Oh and FU Cody, gaddamned fetus you are.

Truck is a 96 factory 2.2l not going eco tech and deffinatly not doing an ls swap just want to give it 10 to 20 more hp with little bit better mid range and higher rpm nothing fancy its my daily driver and I want to stay that way for the boy not building a race engine
I wish I had better news but even 10 hp might be a tough ask from it.
From what I remember though the 2200 is a doable nearly direct swap that could gain you 10tq with no other mods.

Not doing dohc ectec not worth the bs I just rebuild it with 30 over bore 2200 pistons and deck it
Holy @!#$ my log in still works. Followed a link from facebook, and the .org is still here. Amazing!

Meh. I don’t believe it.
It wont happen................
If it does maybe I'll actually start doing body work on mine.

Still looks good to me. Mine looks like it came straight out of a junkyard after sitting in the sun for the last few years. I’m doing bodywork on it now though.
Damn, this thread about who's still on is antient now. LOL
I'm still here on occasion. Still in the J-body "scene" if you can call it that.
Lots of things going on with my vert, but mostly right now trying to get it back on the road for this summer. It missed the last two.
I really just drop in now and then to announce my ongoing state of still not being dead.
That said... I did a thing.
I bought someone's canceled Miata order. Picking it up next month and looking forward to a whole new sort of fun.
I think this might be my very first check in............
You....You and You............. panic...the rest of you ..... COME WITH ME!!!
it's starting to smell like moth balls in this thread

Oh, hey.
Last login was 2010. My profile doesn't seem to show a start date and goes back a couple of servers. Welcome to 1999, folks.
My last Jcar, a boosted, manual-swapped '91 wagon, went to another home in 2005. I'm at the end of a string of five Miatas and just picked up a Veloster N a month ago. Also have an e30 touring and Ducati Monster in the garage.
Popped back in because a new coworker has a stock '98 LS sedan and we got to talking about potential changes.
Cheers!
Now with two Miatae:
