Hey, so what are some things that are ridiculously tacky to do? I'm trying to update my car with some class. I was just wondering what's considered tacky. (chances are, I've already done something on the list.)

hey I know, install wood panels on the side, thats pretty classic and fancy.

i honestly think that the clear HVAC knobs are kinda tacky.
Then again, ive YET to see clear photos of how they look.
Just taje the rubber off of yours and see how they look yourself. Spray painting wheels is one of the tackiest things ive seen.

i sprayed mine and i think it looks damn good actually. both my dd wheels and drag wheels...

The older ones for sure, I have never seen a set that looks right.
I think a few of the worst are hack-job spray painted interiors, Stick on vents, and other things of that nature.

Here the tacky things I have done...
02 tailights with covers paint matched (held on with scotch tape for pics, don't have installed pics)
Clear / Yellow HVAC knobs (ya, I still have them... they grew on me).
definitely mismatching engine bays as far as colors go and those ridiculous wire looms...
trends: stretching tires, decals all over, stupid roof racks, and rusted hoods are some of my pet peeves.

I really like that orane cav! I like the body kit, it looks nice.
With the tail lights colored in like that, they kind of remind me of the Cobalt.
I'm not rich enough to pay serious money for rims, so I put on black hubcaps...I guess it's lame but I think it looks at least a lot better than the stock ones.

Ew, I went through a phase with a large wing & shaved trunk lid... Does it make it any better if I say it was Turbo 90% of that phase? lol..

Roof racks are stupid if they are just on for looks, Unless it's an old rusted VW
My car is getting racked this winter for my bike. I had a trunk mounted rack, And the constant weight of the bike ended up bending the trunk hinges. It pulled the trunk out like an inch. So no more trunk racks for me.

Underglow lights...yep, I got those! Blue LEDs and a switch to turn them on/off. My friend did my car and my bro's Saturn Ion.
So how about some sort of writing on the front of the windshield? I haven't seen anyone's sig with that, so it must be considered pretty lame.
