Nope, not for you guys!
I got one today! It's nothing special, but it was free. The car was brought to our shop to diagnose an engine noise and no power. Well, the engine is toast, and the owner just said he didn't want the thing so he asked if we wanted it. I said I would take it, so he went home and got the title for me and signed it over. It's just a LN2 3 speed auto car, but the body and interior and nearly perfect except for one small dent in the driver side fender.
Now I need to decide if I should drop an engine in it for a daily car, modify a rebuilt LN2 and play with a turbo, or save the car for a RWD drag car conversion. It'll probably just end up a daily car, but it's funny when you get something like this how the gears in the brain start grinding.
That's kind of the idea I was thinking of if we do the RWD chassis thing. Funny thing is the car I got is the same color as the one you posted the link to. Right now I just need to decide if I want to get in to a project like this with the economy being so crappy. Our shop business has slowed some this year. There are so many people here out of work now it isn't funny.
throw it up on an s10 4wd chassy and make yourself a rock crawler

I have a Jeep for that.
What kind of Jeep?
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
Just a pretty plain Wrangler. Someday I want to do a V8 conversion and fix it up, but for now its pretty much a beater to have fun with.
A YJ or a TJ? As soon as dodge bought them out, I lost all interest in Jeeps.

free car, must be nice
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Don't wanna replace the engine again in a short amount of time :p
Eco the bitch!
M62, 42's, ZZP 3", ZZP S3 H/E
214whp 190wtq
^^^^ I have a 5-speed LD9 97 Sunfire
I'd say put a 3800 in it, but that's just me. As far as your jeep goes, don't worry about an engine swap. We have a 99' with the 2.5L AMC/Chrysler Inline 4, and a 3 speed auto. Running 33" tires, 4.5" Lift, 3.73:1 axle gearing, bumpers, winch etc. It runs a 22 second 0-60, but around town and offroading the 4 cylinder has plenty of low end torque like the venerable 4.0L Inline 6 it is very similar to.

There's no love like the 258 straight 6. My first Jeep was a 304 CJ7, then a 304 72 CJ5, and I was getting ready to drop a beefy 360 in it, and then the 9 inch lifted 258 79 CJ5.

I got an engineless 97 for $50 today!
