we just acquired a super spotless 98k miles 2 door hard top cavvy today to junk out.
i need ideas on what parts are in demand that i SHOULD save due to demand, or rarity in perfect condition...
everything is mint condition and it was a non smokers car even, so its spotless everywhere.
i figure dash panel parts, cluster, front sheetmetal, the 2 doors, all lights,
the engine and trans(2200 and auto)
fuel pump module assembly,
steering column?? or do these never have problems in these cars?
ill have to get some pics tommorrow after i get it off the trailer.
thanks for any ideas/suggestions etc.

title is junked
it doesnt need rebuilt
how do you remove the doors on these cars?
do you have to pull the pins or are the hinges bolted to the doors or to the pillar?
i havent looked yet,
thanks

if there was a good title then id do something with it, but in IL once a title is junked its gone forever. cannot register and drive itlegally ever again.
i think im just gonna pull the wheel and airbag and ,ulti function switch assembly,, not the entire column.
no point in pulling the column right? no one ever needs a column for these cars AFAIK.
so far it looks like:
All interior panels and parts and trims, etc.
center console
glove box
steering wheel and airbag
radiator
speakers
complete doors
dash air vents ?
what else?
thanks

The doors are held on by hinges bolted to the pillar.
If you have the room, pull everything off of it, no sense sending good parts to a yard

yeah im pulling doors, lights, entire dash, sunroof, interior side panels, fuel pump, etc. i need ideas on what else is worth pulling?
thanks

How much for both doors with interior panels and hood (as long as they are 100% rust free with no serious dents)?
Don't need any of the glass, mirrors or inner mechanicals...
Where in IL are you? I'm in the Chicago area often throughout the year.

Up top Brian.
I'm down Blu, I'll let you know the next time I am down there. I thought you lived out east haha.
Where are you at?
If the dash is not cracked, you should pull it.
People are always looking for a non-cracked dash assembly.

That didnt answer my question. If its so mint why would someone sell it to an auto recycler and junk the title instead of selling it? Just seems asinine to me.
the title is junked. lol, its not his choice.
western side of illinois, almost iowa. but i go out to chi town pretty often.
cant you just park it and apply for abandonned vehicle?
let it sit for a while and then theyll send you a salvaged/restored title or whatever.
im not sure if you can do that out there but i know people do it all the time here in AZ
Eat my shift
it's a cavalier......burn it
