I was just wanting ppls thoughts on the best years of cavi to get. I am wanting a 1995-2005. I like to look of the 03-05's but hate the backside. thank you for your thoughts
Get an 03-05 and then grab a trunk lid/tails off a 00-02. It's easy enough to make a car into something you will enjoy.
^^ lmao joey, nice plug.
id say 95-99. thats my favorite anyways... 00-05 have the absolute best options and technology though.
if it were me... id buy a low mileage 2005 ls sport, do an LD9 swap, 95-99 z24 front end swap with custom lower lip, and an 00-02 z24 rear swap (tails, spoiler)
I say 00-02. Lightest year.
No year cavalier was good was it??
I'm quite partial to the 03+, I have 2 of them lol
M62, 42's, ZZP 3", ZZP S3 H/E
214whp 190wtq
thank you for all your input I have decided on an 03-05
00 - 02 Z24s have the strongest motors... 02 - 05s follow very closely behind and 96 - 99 Z24s right behind that.
03 - 05 LSS have the nicest exterior, followed by 95 - 99 Z24

2.4 a strong motor? I see those things blown up all over the place. I worked in a junk yard a few years back and i seen these things come in all the time. We couldnt keep good ones in stock because everyone needed them. I honestly wouldnt own one.

and im SO sure that was the only engine you saw come in that often at a junk yard.
my vote is for a 1995 only
best engine, easiest and cheapest pcm to tune, and your dash wont crack..........try to beat that last part !!! hahahhaa
........however..i really hated the radio location in 95-99
a red 1999 z24 drop top... in 5sp.
I'll be the first one to suggest it: '90-'94.

All years are good i say but to each there own .

eh, the 2.4 makes the most horsepower out of the box. And although it needs TLC, if you maintain it well, it won't let you down... (i've had more issues with my LN2 than my LD9)
non of the above, don't buy a j lol
00-02. Eco swap it. put the 00-02 LSS rear on it and the 00-02 Z24 front. with a lip kit on it. Then bag it!

the 00 - 02 z24 front is the base bumper... the only lip is the 02 LSS lip (unless you go aftermarket) and the 00 - 02 lss rear is just an 02 lss rear... the 00 - 02 Z24 rear is just the base bumper
so you want an 00 - 02 with an 02 LSS trim... i agree with you there... but i'd go 2.4... i like more N/A power potential personally
they quit making the cavi's in 2005. do your homework
