I have a2000, 2.4l cavialier with a rod knock and I found a 2.4l from a 98 sunfire. They are both the ld9 engine. Is there any difference in either of them that I should know about before buying it?
2000 dont came equipped with a EGR, they have a smaller starter, and different injectors.
You can make it work. Swap everything over from the old motor. Only thing you will have to do is make the knock sensor mounting hole smaller.
