So I have a 2000 z24 with a bad 2.4. I found a 2.4 from a 97 grand am and was curious as to if it will swap into my vehicle without problems. I really need to get it going soon and am hoping to get lucky and find that I can go ahead and buy it. Help me people. Please! haha Thanks Adam
kncok sesnor is different size threads.u can put a 2000 in a 97 but unsure of the other way around
im pretty sure you would be able to you would have to use your injectors and remove the egr and use your exhaust manifold other than that i cant think of anything.. wait for someone else to give you the ok cause im not a 100 percent sure

ok well does anyone know what the difference is in the quad 4 2.3l head and the newer 2.4l heads. Would a 2.4 head work on the 2.3? Whats different, valve size, combustion chambers? I found a really good deal on a 95 and it needs a head. Thought maybe I would use my good 2.4 on it if it works right. Thanks Everyone
is the head cracked or warped.liek could u get it planed and use it???and i am unusre if the 2.3 will bolt in without major wiring mods.unsure.but listening to see what others say
The head from the 2.3 could be shaved to get it flat again but I just thought I could try to save money by using my 2.4 head. What would really be different. Are there really that many sensors on the head? Maybe a CPS and an Oil pressure sending unit? I run a manual mechanical oil pressure gauge so I have no wires there. Is there even a CPS on the 2.4? I didn't see anything other than the sending unit wires, but maybe I missed it. Thanks Adam
