Sorry, I know the last thing this place needs is more drama. I was just going to let this go but I didn't want anybody else to get screwed.
I purchased some engine parts from JoeyDaBomb through the classifieds on this website. He made me a pretty good deal on all the stuff, so I figured what the heck, I sent him payment of $55 on november 6th through paypal. He said he was going to tear the motor down later that week and get them shipped out. I waited 2 weeks and didn't hear anything. So I sent him an email. I gave him a week to respond. He never did. So I started a paypal dispute. Where I also got no response from him. Paypal just emailed me to say I had won the claim but currently they could only award me $13.02 and they will make there best efforts to recover the rest of the money. Im glad I atleast got part of it back.
Like I said sorry for the drama guys
But I dont want this to happen to somebody else.

I sent him a PM a while back about buying one of those parts, but I never got a response from him. Hopefully things will work out for you.
odd he was always an nice guy to me and i believe i bought something from him sometime ago. not sure on that tho.
I've bought from him with no problems and have always highly recommended him. I think something has to have happened for him not to come through.
Man i nderstand were u are coming from , but the guy is/was finishing schol and moving back into his parents for the past 2-3 weeks (if not longer) . hes been in the middle of packing up his comp and moving it all and his GF's stuff also . Trust me he would never take ur money and not give u the product or give u the money back if something happened .
just give him some time and im sure he will have u the stuff(or rest of the money since u filed a paypal claims already )
And for anyone sle who reads this thread . just know hes been wrapping up school and moving all at once (anyone who has been there can understand thats about all u have time for and more )

I was hoping he had some excuse, but if you're in the middle of something, why commit to something you cant come through with? Why accept my money? I also know for a fact that he has internet access. He has since posted on this forum and has multiple posts on jbok.org where he is a moderator (he has even posted today). He has an AOL email address, you can access that from any computer, and they let you keep the email address even if the account is shut off (or atleast they used to).
I completely understand that things can get too busy and out of hand. But it's obvious he has internet access. It would have taken him 5 minutes to log into paypal and send me my money back. If he does send me the rest of my money back I will be more than happy. But it shouldn't have gotten to this.
I'm surprised to hear this. He bought some stuff from me (fairly expensive) and everything went smoothly except the box I sent him got opened.

Also just to let u know ..he really hasnt been on the internet as much as u may think. i cant even get ahold of him and i talk to him pretty much everyday (all but latly ) . i think he just got over his head with stuff todo and u just happen to fall in that time frame . him posting on here and on JBOK is probly late at night or early mornign b4 work .
As soon as i get ahold of him i will see whats going on .

I bought from him a couple times..very smooth transactions...sometimes stuff comes up..ie school and moving...relax he will come through..hes a good guy..

My point with him checking the forums is just that if he has time to do that he has time to atleast respond to my emails. I don't doubt that the man is busy. But that doesn't change the fact that I sent him money for some engine parts that he agreed to send and never did. When your hard earned money is on the line lets see you give him the benefit of the doubt. The sad part is I did for awhile and then said enough is enough and thats when I started the paypal claim.
Once he recieved my payment it is HIS responsibilty to get the parts shipped out. When he couldn't come through he should have simply sent my money back.
I appreciate you looking into this for me, I really do. It says alot about his credibility to have somebody say these things. I really do hope that he had no intentions of doing this when he took my money.

Honestly I just want my money back anymore, but I was having him send me a set of pistons with connecting rods, and the timing chain housing.

He's helped me locate some things for my eco motor swap. I've always known him to be a good guy. Something must have come up for him to just have fallen off the face of the earth.
here's my opinon if you have the time to sell something and collect money you should be able to ship the item out. granted i think 3 weeks is a bit short of time frame to call fraud and dispute it thru paypal but at the same time if you can't send a simple email that states, "hey im in the middle of moving and it will be a week or three before the parts go out is that okay?" then your going to recieve this reaction from buyers. how long you have been on the jbo or how recognized your name is really doenst mean anything honestly. there have been several well known names on here that have taken money and dissapeared, im not stating that this is the case in this incendent but it has happened.

i hear ya sndsgood ..i just really didnt like the remarks that two ppl left with the cursing and stuff , that really struck a neve with me big time .
Also i think joey at least emailed him a couple times and told him what was going on with moving and school.... (might of not been recent but when we took the motor to his house to break it down,, he told me some ppl had already paid him for the parts and he felt bad they had to wait and he told them what was going on.)
