What is a decent one? I'm only looking to satisfy my curiosity, so don't flame me.
Those of you who have them, what is the deal (if you can tell)?
Do most sponsorships just pay you a monthly amount to put stickers on your car?
Price breaks? Significant amount?
most people will not tell their compensation from a sponsor. that is a confidential agreement between the company and the car builder. because of the arrangement the sponsor does not want the general public to know what perks they give. It protects both the company and the builder.
Most sponsorships are in the form of "partial" or price breaks on their items. A full sponsorship would consist of the company supplying you with only their equipment to be installed ASAP on you vehicle and displayed to potential buyers at shows, in your shop, etc. A company is not going to pay you to put their sticker on your car. If you are a well known competitor you may be lucky enough to score a full sponsorship for a company's products based upon a well written letter to that company outlining how you will make them money by using their product on your car, and explaining what experience you have or what you have accomplished.

sort of on topic...and yet not at all. I was curiously looking for j-body projectors the other day and can't find them anywhere, also can't find anything APC. Did APC go under (no big suprise) and have aftermarket companies cancelled production of projectors for j-bodies?

APC collapsed...but there shouldnt be an issue finding projectors for the 95-99's

it really just varies by the company, generally your smaller local stores dont have the money to just give out free products so its usually in the form of a discount on orders. bigger companies can give half off or entirely free product. majory corporations can give out tons of gear. but generally that is after you have proven yourself.either way you generlaly still spend 10x more then what you get for free.
