1997 sunfire 2.2 motor 147k on it.5 speed with a brand new clutch and a replaced tranny.went for a ride in it, ran pretty smooth.Has a 3a racing muffler along with a jensen headunit in the dash.Fairly clean on the inside and body's not bad.Brakes are going to need to be done in a few months tho.

Guy wants 1500 for it... am i getting a deal or are the miles to high?

Around here thats pretty good for a car that runs and has no problems.Anything under a grand usually has over 170k miles, has major mechanical issues like a bad tranny or a blown motor or needs major body work.

When i bought my cavalier i had looked and looked for car.Everything under 1k or even 1500 was complete garbage.

Why would the seller install an new clutch and trans? Then sell it for $1500?

Same here.

Locally that car would sell for $2000. Easy.

I know because of on top of being in the market for a house, I'm also looking at picking up another '00-'02 j-body. I was hoping I could pick up an '00 for three grand but I'm not very optimistic about that one anymore.
