I have an 04 Cavalier. Stock basically. Just wondering what are the average stock dyno numbers for these cars? Engine is rated at 140HP, what's it actually putting down?

If you want to play pocket calculator dyno and assume that your cavalier has exactly 140 bhp with a 15% drivetrain loss, you're making exactly 119 whp. That number is disregarding differences between cars, the fact that the Eco was underrated, etc. If you want real numbers, go pay a little for a dyno. Enjoy.

I understand all the drivetrain loss and any other factors that you can think of, but I'm just wondering if anyone on here had dynoed their car stock so I can get a rough estimate of what stock Cavaliers put out. This car's HP isn't worth the $50-$80 for the dyno pulls.

Roughly 120-130whp depending on conditions.
