About Us
This website is dedicated to the General Motors J-platform vehicles. These include the Chevrolet Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire, Sunbird and J2000, Olds Firenza, Buick SkyHawk and Cadillac Cimarron. The purpose of this site is to educate and inform others about these cars, as well as to put j-body owners in contact with other owners and resources.
you would never believe this was on the home page at the very top
p..s cobalt is a D body i do believe
from the FAQ
1.2) What other models have been produced on the J-body platform?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
1982 Pontiac J2000 (no dash, slash, hyphen, space, or anything)
1983 Pontiac 2000 and 2000 Sunbird Convertible
1984 Pontiac 2000 Sunbird
1985-94 Pontiac Sunbird
1982-88 Oldsmobile Firenza
1982-89 Buick SkyHawk
1982 Cimarron by Cadillac, 1983-88 Cadillac Cimarron
1982-94 Chevrolet Cavalier (was almost called Corsair!)
An interesting side note about the J-body:
Cavalier and 2000 Sunbird convertibles first appeared in 1983 in
quantities limited to 627 units each produced by American Sunroof in
Michigan. No other division ever released a J-body convertible.
It is also an interesting note (no offense to Cimmaron fans) that the
Cimmaron is considered the WORST J-car of the series, based upon its
styling compared to the Cavalier and its comparatively exorbitant price.

What is the G5?
No. The Cobalt and *G5* are built on the Delta platform.
The *G6* is built on the Epsilon platform.
If you want to know more, there is a list of all the current GM platforms on wikipedia...

Well my old grand am is an N-body. As are the Malibu's, and Alero's.
And the Grand prix (uh, I want one...) is a w-body.

Is there a reason why you have Donnie's car as your signature?

well i say the same thing on the topic i had a pic of philly up there and was told it was to big so i took that down and i really nvr messed with sigs before so i just found a pic that i thought looked good from a bodykit website i found over a year ago and until just a minute ago reading this topic did i relize that was some ones car, i thought that it was a body kit display car pic given where i found it. i just thought it was a hott pic if theres issues ill change it doent matter now that i fig out how to resize the pics 4 my sig. lik i said i thought it was a bk display car nvr thought it was "donnies". my bad
You can edit and resize easily in MS Paint. Donnie's photos got ripped off by people awhile ago and they're circulating. It bothers him, but I'm not one to tell you what to do.
