Question about mailing
Friday, October 05, 2007 4:49 AM
If this is the wrong section sorry, and please move it if need be. I am trying to purchase something. Here is the problem I live in Canada and the person selling the item lives in the USA. We are both not sure what exactly you have to do to ship internationaly. If anybody has shipped internationaly please let me know what needs to be done as I have looked on the USPS,and UPS website an I am still confused on what needs to be done.

Thanks in advance

you can ship thru USPS, UPS, Fedex. you will need to fill out a special form, not the normal shipping form. then once its shipped, it will go thru customs, and the person recieving the item will be billed a customs fee based on valu i believe.

easiest thing to do is take it to a post office of UPS/Fedex location, and they will point you towards the correct form

mark it as a "gift" to help with customs.
