ya thats all I do the sunfire one is actually a little more simple, if you go into depth a lot you tend to lose people just make it simple the first email then if they want more they will ask you for it. And ya you should really talk to your friend about that lol

One headlock coming your way at Importfest.......Grrrr.....!!!!!!

I just Sent out my sponsorship proposal to Rockford Fosgate. I made sure to make it neat and presentable. I hope they consider me for a sponsorship. I filled out their form online with my proposal attached and 3 pics of my car. I would have sent more pics but they only required 3 pics plus my proposal in a word document. Now that its done what should i do next? should i contact them back in a couple of days if they dont contact me sooner? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Did you actually send that out just like that? I'd be laughed out of every office imaginable submitting a research proposal in that condition lol.

You're trying to catch their attention, keep your name in the front of their mind, just like if it was a job application. A couple of days is too soon though, you need to wait through the weekend at least.

I think my cars (multiple) with 33 full sponsorships total speak for themselves as well as the current projects being involved with Sema builds I guess I dont know what Im talking about lmao
Nope, Justin, you don't know what your talking about. We all know that!

Obviously, I've never seena research proposal without any details, but that's not what I was referring to.

It was not an attack on you, your ideas, your cars, or your project. I was mearly inferring that proof-reading and some accepted stylistic element would make it seem more professional and easier to read... basically, make sure it doesn't look like the task of writing it was outsourced to your 10 year old neice
If anyone is looking for specifics, these would be where I would start:
1) spell-checking - make it seem like you at least put a little time into the proposal - "Se-up" is not a word
2) proof-reading - a few mods are mentioned twice - it makes it look like you were just pulling ideas out of the air as they flew by, or someone listing everything they saw on the featured car in their last issue of Import Tuner. Anything under "New Development" (which should be a line down, and plural btw) should not be in the group above.
3) categorizing - putting your ideas into basic categories (such as we use in our car profiles here - suspension, engine, body, interior, etc) - shows you are organized and capable of leading a successful project, as well as building a better basic picture of where you want to go with the car
4) consistency - if you are going to capitalize every word, then do every significant word (such as a book title, words such as "and" or "of" are still lower-case). If you are going to just do the first word, then just do
every first word. Which words get capitalized in your proposal seems random, and makes it appear sloppy (many companies will look at this as a sign of your intelligence, no bs).
Also, if you are going to use units, then use them consistently (you have a 32" tv, but your wheel sizes are just numbers). This is not as important for what you're writing, just a pet peeve that is instilled by years of classes in scientific fields...damn them.
5) structure - Lists should never use more than one topic on a line, but if you really want to do it, use the same number of modifications on each line, unless you are purposefully trying to create a specific shape. If you use asterisks on centered text like that, put one at the end of each line as well, it looks much better.
Once again, just trying to help, nothing personal. You never know what may have made the difference between someone looking past you, or picking you up as your sponsor. Who knows, maybe those 33 sponsorships could have been 66? There's no saying.

Wow, sorry, I didn't realize constructive criticism was no longer allowed in the presence of the elite...

your first responce "Did you actually send that out just like that? I'd be laughed out of every office imaginable submitting a research proposal in that condition lol." doesn't leave itself to constructive criticism. it was more antagonistic, in essence calling what he did crap. you problaby wouldn't have gotten the responce you did if you had just said that you noticed a few typos that he might want to fix.
