I found a 2001 z24 5 spd with power windows and locks for 4795$ canadain is that a good deal its got 190 000kms i dont got any idea on these cars if there good or how the motor isss
That seems like high miles to me for a 2001. Without alot more info on the car it is nearly impossible for us to tell you if it is worth it or not.

190,000 Km is only 118,000 miles. for a 6 year old car, that's not too bad. 4,795 Canadian is a little high though, i'd try talking them down to about 4,000.
of course, get it checked out by a mechanic first to make sure everything's in good condition, then go from there.
i paid 6 for mine with 130xxx km no power windows or locks...........................what province do you live in? Find out if motor has ever been rebuilt or anything........ the 2.4's are notorious for spinning rod bearings around the 150xxx-180xxxkm ???? or so ive been told...........

I paid $3500 for my 97...only 76k miles on it when I bought it.
Check the water pump, that is the only real big issue with that engine.

Sorry to kinda of butt in on this thread, but if the water pump has been replaced, do you have any worries. I've found one with 235,000 KM's with the LD9, or 2.4L Twin Cam engine, and the water pump has been replaced. So am I in the clear for another 100,000 in terms of that waterpump, or is the engine getting on it's last legs with those km's?
I have a '97 sunfire with 200,xxx miles on it. It is 5spd and has the 2.4l twin cam. I don't know if it's been rebuilt or it the water pump has been changed or not but for $600 I couldn't pass up the deal. It doesn't use oil or anything and I haven't had any problems with it dying or any problems starting. For me this engine has been good so far. I've only had it about a month and only been about 1k miles.
