I went to go look at a 2005 cobalt ss/sc at my local chevy dealer yesterday. they asked if i wanted to trade my car in for the cobalt, and i jokingly said it depended on what they would give me. by time i walked away we had the cobalt down to 18k and they were willing to give me 14k for my 2003 cavy.
unfortunately i couldn't trade, they would have pulled the offer as soon as they found out it had been wrecked and has no airbags. just a funny thing that happened that i thought i would share.
14k
for an 03 cavy. even if it had under 100 miles on it i highly doubt you would get much trade in for it. i would i have took it hands down even if it didnt have airbags and they took some off of there. where is this dealership at so i can get rid of my 05 cavy if thats the case mines worth like 18k right
14k for cav? it prob didnt even cost that much to start with...lol
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
@!#$, that woulda been a deal and a half. I only want $17500 for my car.
Built, bottled, ready for 11s. 14.446@93.74mph, 1.848 60' N/A.
prob just the finance dept making it look too good to be true to make you jump now and not later. at best at that age it would be worth 9k.

they started at 10k and i mentioned that it was freshly painted and the new baer brakes and other things and they started to raise the price after i mentioned that i would have to strip the car and put it back to stock first. i would love to take a better cav in and see how much they offer. one of the dealerships down the block sold a 95 honda prelude with a body kit for 8k and another sold a 96 cav with a bodykit for 9k and another sold a 99 eclipse for 11k. prices are definetly higher than they should be lately here.
best part is i would have made 7k on my car, bought the car for 2500 wrecked 2 years ago and the repairs and upgrades so far put it just under 7k.
If it's for real, get a signed appraisal from them.
Tell me where this place is...ill be buying a couple cavs and trading em in lol.
Seriously though, iv seen dealerships do it before. Not quite that high but offering more than a vehical was worth to get the trade in. It still works out for them in the end..
it wouldnt be just any cavs, we took my girlfriends sunfire in later and hers is 2005 but is stock... offer was 9k. she asked them why mine was so much higher and they said that it was the visual appearance that they can make money on; the fact that mine looks faster than it is.
14k trade in for an 03 cav, thats crazy. thats what my 03 cav costed in 2003. sounds like it would,ve been a sweet deal. a little sketchy though...
Silly ricer, useless wings are for penguins.
