Josh Solomon ran one a while ago, but really... it's just 3 pieces of wire and 6 ring terminals. If you can install them, you can make them.

ill gladly make my own, i was just trying to compare prices as im dead broke

I know Streetside had a sale on them around xmas time... however site hasn't been updated since then, so whether or not they are available is uncertain.

http://www.streetsidespeedcustom.com/oscommerce/index.php

the kit I got was good quality, alas, never installed it (amp toasted then swapped out the 2.2l)

Use set screw ring terminals. They may be a little more expensive, but it's cheaper than buying a 1/0 gauge crimping tool.

Yeppers, Thats what Im doing on my electrical Upgrade, just because I hear they are better. Currently, I use my handy dandy Pneumatic Crimper with the 0/1 Die...If thats not handy, a Vice can be used. Lots of people on the car stereo forums use a vise and it works great...

On a side Note..

Eazy, if you need any help, i'm only about an hour and a half away and welll....i know my electrical. I don't think ill be hauling the Pneumatic crimper up there, but i can help...

*cough* it's www.knukonceptz.com *cough*

I agree though. Hence why I linked there for the set screw ring terminals.

no, you need 3 sets

And you can get cheaper fuse holders on eBay (save another $10 or so)

Answer me this though, why do you need 1/0? are you running 1/0 power wire through the system? If I remember correctly, the ones in the kit were only 4ga.

worked great for me, also a sledgehammer also is great.

I usually pick my terminals from the same place I get my wire....it's a welding supply shop usually pretty cheap.

Why are you fusing ground wires???

This should probably get moved to Audio/Electronics by now, so more people could chime in.

If you are talking about adding a wire from the Alt to the Batt (good idea, IMO), you can fuse that, but I wouldn't go more than your current draw from your amps. You are simply adding to existing wires, so you just need to cover the amperage that your amplifer's draw. Though, honestly I don't see the point in adding a fuse between the Battery/Alternator. The current goes from ALT to BAT... and you should have at least one, if not two fuses before your amplifiers (one less than 18's from your Battery, another close to your Amplifiers). If the wire from the ALT to BAT grounds out, it will still blow at least one of the other fuses before hitting the amps.

lol im not fusing ground wires... the big three involves 2 grounds and 1 power wire

I was thinking of the grounding kits that eBay sells as God's gift to electricity.

But yeah, the rest hold true for the BAT to ALT.

I just looked at the big 3 sticky... I'm kinda concerned with this statement:

Quote:

6) Run the wire either through your fuse box if applicable or through a fuse. The fuse should be sized to match the max ampacity of your wire, not the output capability of your alternator. 150A fuse for 4awg wire..and 300A fuse for 1/0awg wire.

I'll post in that thread though.
