I ordered a Rksport cf trunk bezel from them on friday the 15th and have yet to recieve it. They say shipping is only like 5 days or something. So i email them and this is what i got in response asking where the shipment is:

I have gotten you order… only problem is RKSPort no longer stocks any of the CF parts… they are made to order from what I have been told by them…. Since it’s a hand made part it takes a while to get made… I have not charged your card since I don’t have a product to ship out to you… I will find out today again how much longer the wait will be.

Is this really a hand made part and if the shipment was going to take forever dont you think the proper professional thing to do would be to let me know instead of leading me on telling me it would only be 5 days? And i was also wondering for anyone else who bought one of of carcustoms.net, how long did it take you guys to get yours?

Karo is the man...plain and simple. He did the professional thing...and didn't charge your card. He will get back to you be patient. "I'm horrible at being patient." Its not Karo's fault RKsport doesn't have any in stock. Shipment isn't going to take forever...it will probably take the 5 days or something, but it is hard to ship a part that he does not have.

true he did do the professional thing and not charge the card, i appreciate that, i just get tired of waiting for stuff lol...thanks for your input.
^agreed. Karo is always on top of things....not many companies will NOT charge your card if they dont have the product in stock. most will charge it and force you to wait.

yea he's legit. its not exactly HAND MADE in the sense your thinking but they are now produced one at a time instead of in mass quantities.

The cf pieces have TERRIBLY long waits. There's no way around that. I would stock the parts, IF they had more than a $1 profit margin... but since the margins are horrible, the peices are always ordered from RK as we receive an order for them.
I'm 99% sure it's the same way with Karo at carcustoms.

You are correct, I should update the website and make sure it is noted that ALL carbon fiber parts CAN take up to 6 weeks before they are shipped out. It is my mistake. RKSport changed the way they deal with the Carbon Fiber parts not too long ago s oI have not had a chance to update the website. This is a great reminder for me to update the website so it clearly states the issue with the Carbon Fiber Parts. I am not here to lead anyone on by any means. This is the main reason why your card was not charged because I do not believe it is the right thing to do to charge someone for a product (unless its a special order) if I do not have a product to deliver.
The website will also be edited as well in the part which says

because it is suppose to say Your order will be processed and shipped out to you within 24-48 business hours. All items will be shipped out via Ground Shipping unless otherwise noted. Ground shipping can take between 2-6 business days pending location.

Might as well spill the beans on this one. Due to the fact that I offer FREE S&H on everything on the website, profit margins are cut down to nothing. Some items I take a loss on with the hope of people buying other products at the same time to make some money back. Carbon Fiber Parts are one of those sellers. Not much room to begin with....
Once again, I apologize if the website mislead you to order a part which you thought was in stock. If you would like to cancel your order, please let us know so we can cancel your order.

I can vouch for the non-card charging thing too.
When I ordered my Wilwoods from Karo, it was what... 3 weeks or so before they were shipped? Also, they too had to be shipped direct from the manufacturer. I was actually getting nervous when I didn't see the charge on my online banking until the day before they arrived

EVERYTHING ON MY CAR that is RKSPORT came from CarCustoms.net! Karo Drove from California to Michigan in HIS truck and DELIVERED my PRO-Stock! How sweet is that for customer service?
My Body Kit and intake were shipped within a Week or so.

Most other car companies (not all... just most...) would have charged you first, then made you wait. And you would have waited forever for a response... and even then, it wouldn't be as thorough as the one you got (publicly, at that!!!)
