JMC is it an aftermarket warranty company? i work for one myself, i'm a claims adjuster, just because your paperwork says "bumper to Bumper" doesn't mean it literally, you need to read the exclusions in it, and see what items they do not cover, most maintenance items are excluded (exp: brake pads, shoes, rotors, & drums, hose, belts, nuts and bolts), also some do not cover any nonmechinal or nonelectrical parts, i love nothing more then to hear a customer telling me they we're told "it would cover everything", you got to remember the person who sold the extended service agreement is making a profit from selling it, so he will tell you anything to get you to buy it.

Is it worth the investment?

Its up to you and how you drive the vehicle, also make sure you keep every receipt for maintenance related stuff you have done, you will save yourself some heartache in the end, also most extended warranties have a limit to what is paid on a claim, for instance if you take your car in to a shop and the shop wants 200.00 dollars say for an alternator, and GM msrp is only 150.00 then the warranty is going to cover the 150.00 dollars, the shop in turn charges the customer the difference for the price they want for it, and the warranty company has no control over what they charge for the part or the labor, all warranty companys use a standard national labor guide (exp: Motors, Mitchell, and Alldata) these books are also used by the repair shops, but sometimes the shop will want more then what is called for in the book, again the warranty company will only pay for labor published in the time guide, and again the warranty has no control over what the shop charges. One point to remember is that not all claims will be 100% of the total the shop is asking for sometimes.

In the seven years i have been at my current job, I've seen a ton of money shelled out on these cars, and trust me some people get their moneys worth, and i have also seen some vehicles that the customer just didn't take care of it, thinking that the warranty will cover it anyways if it breaks..wrong. Some contracts have no limits as to how much is spent on the vehicle during the time it is under the warranty. I can tell you the parts that GM sells are some of the most high dollars i have seen verses like Lexus and Mercedes, sometimes i think, they think that is what their cars are comparable to...lol, hope this helps you out some, o, again read the whole contract when you get ac chance, get familiar with it.

if you have anymore questions JMC just let me know. By the way who is the extended service agreement thru?
