I got my Billet HVAC knobs from them. They seemed very profesional in their emails and shipping was fast I couldn't be happier with my experience from them. I would oder from them again.
MRZ has always been good to me. I purchased my custom strut tower caps from them, and they were perfect.

contact fred at smg they do throttle body boring
wow, just called them and yeah... im going with these guys, they said they normally dont like to punch out a 2.4 TB bigger than 56mm, but i said i really wanted at least 59-60, so the guy i talked to said he would go 1mm at a time after 56mm and see how far he can go. he said they've dont it before, but really to be safer they prefer 56mm.
the guy was helpful and flat out knowledgable so, ill be going this route rather than MRZ's, the price just couldnt be beat. $189.00 shipped. thats frickn amazing...
cheesecake-you just saved me over $100.00 you frickn rule man! thanks a TON!
i'll still be buying mrz's map sensor cover, but now since i saved some coin i can go ahead and get some other items ive been wanting from them. so its a WIN WIN SITUATION!!! lol
freds a good guy and knows his @!#$
If this is about 2.4L motor and NOT Ecotec...
2.3 TB is very similar to 2.4 TB and the 2.3 HO TB was 58mm and I want that amount to match up my new HO intake which I will be installing sometime soon. 56mm is still a bit too small but better than stock 52mm, thats for sure. If you really want 56mm, get 00-02 2.4 TB. From what I heard, they are 56mm already. Correct me if im wrong. I used to have 59mm TB from RSM and I never had one problem or hiccup from it. Was very happy with it, but I refuse to get another one from them since they charge it 400 friggin bucks which is stuipid!

huh? i always heard the 2.3 HO was 56mm, not 58mm... hmmmm wow i also never knew the newer 2.4 ones were 56mm either.
oh well, i think ill be pleased with my 60mm smg one, dont think its gonna help enough to be worth $190.00 but oh well.
2.4 52mm
2.3 HO is 56mm

Well, I wouldn't let them do it.
However MRZ, RSM, is doing these larger tbs out to greater than 57mm, they're not telling.
Basically I heard an offset must be used.
Whatever that means.
I made a post about what could happen if the 2.4L tb was bored past 56-57mm straight thorugh.
You'll ruin the throttle body making it useless.
I'll have to find the pics.
At least that what my machine shop did with mine.
Didn't cost me nothing, I just told them to go as far as possible and sure enough it didn't work out.
So MRZ< or RSM (whoever they go by now), or some other folks on the org here may be able to help with thelarger bore.

When you don't know WTF you are talking about, you STFU. MRZ is not even close to be related to RSM. I don't know how Mat does the Tb's but all he does is excellent.

2.3 Ho
My 2.4 Tb has a 56mm 2.3 HO butterfly in it. Straight bored, and works fine. A 57mm straight bore will not work. I found out the hard way.

My mistake... about the 2.3 TB... MD LD9 is right...
oooook, i guess i'll have to trust SMG's judgement then. if larger than 56mm on a stock 2.4 TB is all you can go, than its all you can go.
which sucks... but oh well.
I've used 59mm TB from RSM and I HAD no problems whatsoever. Going more than 56mm TB wont cause any problems. U can go as high as 59 to 60mm.
Fred Jr. at SMG is 100% reliable and he is continually expanding his line of parts and services.
The custom billet work at MRZ is as good as it gets.
