Ok I have a friend that came into some money recently and he has a tough decision on his hands he owns a 99 Cavalier well here is the dilema:
1. He puts the money torwards the car i.e. motor swap, kit, rims, and maybe turbo
2. He buys a crotch rocket something he has been wanting for awhile
3. He buys a used crotchrocket or a used J-body for a beater
4. some stuff to the cavy and a crotch rocket or a used cavy i.e. just rims and a good lowring job
Well J-Body owner keep an open mind on this one because I know the what most will say Ecotec Swap!! Well his car is his daily driver and he works like evryone else 5 out of 7 days of the week, so let me know what you think!!

here's what i'd do... oh wait, what i did actually.
don't bother trying to make the car fast, get a bike for that. even if he turbos the car, it won't be as fast or as fun to drive as a rocket. i'd suggest getting a used rocket, save the car for being reliable transportation when riding the bike isn't possible (rain, winter, etc).
plus, if he gets a used bike, it won't cost an arm and a leg and he should still be able to put some of that money towards some minor mods for the car.
but... that's just my opinion, not like im biased or anything.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
x3 what cannon fodder said, get a used one as your J will never accelerate as fast or be as fun in the twisties. How much money did he come across? If it's really not enough to buy a recent used 600cc+ bike then don't bother and just save it, unless it's his first bike.
Yay a topic about me!!! Anyways...i'm the friend hes talking about......It would be my first bike, so I would like to find a 250 or 500. And I think i'm going with option 4, find a cheap bike then fix some things on the cavi.....
If you invest only $500 a month at a 12% return, you will have $4.8 million in 40 years.
Hows that for what to spend money on.

Trust me man, put it in the bank, i can imagine how you feel with all the money you got. like oh man im gonna get this and they are all going to think its cool. dont do it for that. do it for yourself and if you have or are going to have kids. put a huge chunk of it in the bank so you cant touch it til your older. it would be your best bet.
Put it in the bank and use it for alot more important things other then a car.

christ, it's not like he's a 14 year old... he's an adult for crying out loud. hell, he's older than every single person who has told him to put his money in the bank.
if he wants to buy a crotch rocket or mod his cav, that's his choice. don't be hypocrites and tell him not to mod his car after you've spent countless amounts of your own money on your cars. we're young once, live it up. did you know that it actually is possible to buy a used crotch rocket and still be able to put money away for later use? there's 4 choices listed there that he's considering doing... stick to those. give it a rest with the mommy act.
i agree w/ cannon. get a cheap used bike for like 3k and enjoy it. thats what i plan on doing this summer. you already have a cav so just keep it the way it is and use the money to buy a bike and then keep the remaining amount in the bank.

Me
But I will add...the way I've modded my car has always been never spend a dime that I can't afford to lose! Once it's in the car...it's gone!
Your choice and your young so make choices today that you can live with tomorrow.
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
I have put money into my car and i probably still will but im trying to save him the greif haha. oh wait getting a crotch rocket, not dumping it into a cav
good call haha.

judging by the vacinity of the engine to your sac and the way you straddle the tank, I'd say the name is fairly appropriate..
