but if he's already sent the money, why are you waiting to accept?
Just overly cautious I guess. Been burnt on credit card payments before. And they froze my account for awhile 'til it got straightened out.

Accept it and transfer all money immediately. This way if they freeze it, it only affects your near-future purchases.
I dont think anybody on here really knows me. I've been into cavaliers and J-bodies for a while. but I dont post much. because I dont have much to post about. The only one that I think would even know me is Evansville J-body. and thats from www.tristatecarz.com its a local forum.
I"m not sure what i can do to get anybody to vouch for me. but the money is there. lol

And when you transfer all the money it means you have to have a Bank account tied in with Pay Pal. Guess what, if someone does a charge back with no money in your Pay Pal account, Pay Pal will take the money right out of your Bank Account.
Gary, I assume you need to click on Accept because he's address was not varified by Pay Pal or not confirmed correct?
Everything was confirmed on paypal. And the payment has been sent. The coilovers are on the way. I'm really excited.
^^ i give u props on the fact u came in and didnt get all bitchy and offended about it.

This was brought up in
another post in OT. Kardain had this to say:

They can and will withdraw money from your bank account if they have to in order to recover the funds. Taking all the money out of the account will be worse, the account will go negative and the bank will slap you with all kinds of fees. You're chances of winning aren't great already, but the other guy could be a total bone-head, you never know.
If they do they are in violation of their own user agreement.

Section 1, paragraph 4 wrote:If the seller loses a Buyer Claim or a chargeback dispute and does not qualify for the Seller Protection Policy, the seller will owe PayPal for the amount of the reversed transaction. In the case of a chargeback, sellers who do not meet the requirements of the Seller Protection Policy will also owe a $10.00 USD chargeback fee. PayPal will seek to recover the funds from sellers by debiting their PayPal balance. If there are not sufficient funds in the seller’s PayPal balance, sellers have a choice of reimbursing PayPal by funding their PayPal account or by other means as described in the Payments (Sending, Receiving, and Withdrawals) Policy.

Q: Will PayPal have access to withdraw funds from my bank account without my permission?
A: No. PayPal will only withdraw or add funds with your permission.
Out of curiosity, I went back and reviewed
Paypals Payments Policy
Here's the pertinant information:
Quote:
Receipt of Payments; Risk of Reversal of Transactions; Collection of Funds you owe PayPal. When you receive a payment through the Service, unless you follow the steps necessary to qualify for our Seller Protection Policy, you are not protected against a subsequent reversal of the transaction. In the event that the sender's transaction is reversed for any reason and you do not qualify for the Seller Protection Policy for that transaction, you will owe PayPal for the amount of the reversed transaction plus any fees imposed on PayPal as a result of the reversal. Examples of such a reversal include, but are not limited to, a credit card reversal by the sender of the payment, and a reversal of the transaction because the sender of the payment was using a stolen credit card or unauthorized bank account. PayPal will seek to recover the funds from you by debiting your PayPal balance and, if there are not sufficient funds in your PayPal balance, PayPal reserves the right to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.
Since I felt "any other legal means" was rather vague, I called up Paypal. The Fraud Service Rep that I spoke to reiterated Paypal's policy: They will not debit your bank account without approval from you. If the transaction has cleared in all directions (Buyer --> Paypal
through Paypal --> Seller's Bank), and the Seller has removed all funds from their account, paypal cannot go into the sellers bank account to replace those funds. They can place a hold on your paypal account, credit your paypal account with a negative balance, and take you to court (if it goes unresolved).
However, if the transaction has not been cleared in all directions, Paypal can place a stop on the transfer to your bank account. They will not allow you to have access to these funds, and may place your account on hold. Keep in mind, they never touched your bank account. They simply stopped authorization to credit to your bank account in the amount of the transfer.
Paypal is not allowed to debit your bank account. They can only debit any money you have in your paypal account, as well as any incomplete transfers you currently have in progress.
Also, if anyone has free time and is really really really bored, I'd suggest reading that user policy to see just how Paypal handles things. Most don't look at it until they run into a situation where they need to... like myself, even though I just looked out of curiosity (5 years after opening my account!)

Not sure there was anything to be offended by. I've bought parts before. or sold parts and have things turn out bad. So its always good to have a checkup and see whats going on. Better to be safe than sorry, and end up in a big mess over something like that.
I called PayPal too this week....... the chick I talked too sounded HOT!!!! and she was really nice, and helped me a ton.
PayPal gets a gold star for the week.

little advise... dont use paypal. why bother with fees when the buyer can just send a money order and be done with it? money order's are as good as cash as long as their filled out properly. (well they have their limits, but the money is garenteed)
ive never understood why ppl bother.

Because paypal is insured. Cash is not

And money orders are not 100% legit always either. I have received TWO fraudulent money orders, both in which we lost $400+
