Like a lot of people here on the JBO, i frequent this website more than anywhere else. I rarely check my emails because there is never anything but spam mail. However, when i reply to a thread or create a thread that i deem important, i always check the "email me replies to this thread" box. because i never check my emails, i forget to check for replies to the thread...and my thread disappears.
now to the suggestion...how about when we click the "email me replies to this thread" box, it goes to our JBO PM inbox INSTEAD of our emails? i think that'd be awesome! that way, we'd never miss our replies.
i can understand this being a bad suggestion if it causes more stress on the already beat to death servers...its just a suggestion.
i'll click the little box and find replies to this thread in a few weeks...

You have a good idea there - and I am actually about 1/2 step ahead of you.
One of the features I'm working on for the near future is called "watched threads". The concept is just like the 'subscription' feature of many other forums. You can tag a thread as watched, and it shows up on your watched thread list. You can then tag each thread with any compination of 'email me' or 'pm me'. Or of course you don't have to tag it at all - in that case it is just displayed on that page, which you can check regularly and would highlight all threads on that list that have been updated since last you viewed it.

wow.....i suggested this right after i became premi....and everyone was like omfg you noob there is a email me replies to this thread box. and then i just let it go. this is a great feature if we could get it though.
