Why I'm done modding, and moving on....

Bingo. Also just want something different to do. I won't be modding cars anymore either, it was never really my main interest. So for me to spend all that money on a car I can only use about 6 months out of the year was pointless. My plans are to get either a Mustang (only the 6cyl) or a Chevy Blazer and then get a toy I can use over summer, I'm lookin at getting a Yamaha Gp1200 Jet ski. If I do get the 'stang, it will be lowered and have Cobra wheels, but it stops there! It was fun for a while, I met alot of really cool people both online and in person. The JCO Bash had nothing to do with me parting out and selling the car, just so everyone knows that. It was just the right time, while it still has some value left. I'll still be on JBO putting in my $0.02 everywhere, I'm not leaving for good just yet. However it is true that the JBO has gone downhill in the recent past, but there's still good people on here and so I'll still be around!

Sucks man, but good luck in your future projects.. I think everyone understands priorities come first over cars.....

btw, that "how much money he threw away on a cavalier" could go for any car.. Not just a cavalier...

Good luck man.!!

hey man good luck in the future endeavors...it sounds like a good plan to get a normal car and keep it normal, and get a lil less expensive toy..
i would love to do that some day (but with a quad*@*)
keep your head up and don't let people get to you

Best of luck but just cause the Cavi is going doesn't mean you have to also.

It's not like I wouldnt want the GT or anything, I just don't wanna spend that much money on the car or the gas. Thats like, the whole point of me being done modding, I don't care about how fast I go, or to have a show car anymore. I just wanna get from A to B in something I'll like, and a mustang, esp. a convertable would be ideal.

If modding was never your thing thats cool, but why not keep the cav and just stop modding it? Just my opinion but it looks way nicer than a v6 mustang convertible with cobra wheels ever could.

I honestly have no idea what I'll get. It all depends on what deal I can find. I'm trying to stay at or around 7k. I've found a few Mustangs with around 50k for 6,500 and some Blazers with around 60k for 7,000. I have alot of time to find something so who knows what I'll get. It's deffinitly fun shopping around for something new though!

and I do appreciate all the kind words from you guys, I feel like i've been a part of this site forever and I'll be glad to stick around, just not with a J!

Blazers eat ball joints for breakfest, lunch and dinner. It is not uncommon for 30,000 miles to be the max life for ball joints on them cars.

My cus has a 2000 GT V6 5 speed. It is a fun car but it isnt getting any MPG awards. I think the V8 with a 6 speed would maybe beat the V6. He is seeing 18-19 realistic MPG, not bad but not incredible.

If anyone is contemplating buying from mark I would say go with it though, great stuff everything he has is well taken care of. I hate to paint over marks nice Type J kit, lol.

Also research about the skis, I was buying two and realized the maintenance thats goes along with them. Understand that skis are usually abused, you dont really cruise with them it is all WOT. But damn they are fun!

Thanks bro, nice car when it was together have fun with whatever is next.

Chris

i was thinking the same thing today actually, im just gonna put the stock GT kit on, put some rims on it and lower it and all it a day, then ill order HPT and im finished with my car, alotta cash could have been saved up right now but thats all out the door. And i figure im only hitting 13's with the gm charger and if i had as much cash into alittle honda beater i could be easily in the 12's right now with less hassle.

Ball joints huh?

Thats right you go to UTI, so you really wouldnt know what a Blazer does come in for to a dealership on a daily basis.

Try intake leaks, massive ones, and oil cooler lines leak like a whore on Blazers.

None the less good luck with whatever it is you go after, I respect any car that has any kind of time or effort into it being a Ford or whatever.

lol, yeah. My friend has a tahoe (similar to blazer?) and has both the oil cooler line leak and had the intake mani leak.

Good luck with the new car!
