i feel it is my responsibility to let all of the jbo know about a horrible tradgedy that took place sunday. A fellow marine jbo member was killed sunday in a bombing. This jbo would be known as SAINT or for those who knew him as well as i did brian st. germain. He was a marine who was stationed out in iraq for the second time and on his way back to base his humvee was bombed. Brian was stationed at camp pendelton CA, but resided in warrwick RI. I thought all jbo members should know and hopefully recongnize how important life is and you should NEVER take it for granted. For all of those like myself who are opposed to the war at hand i hope you can put it aside and thank our fellow troops for doing what they do and helping to serve and protect our country by putting themselves on the line for us. My thoughts and prayers are going out to his mother, step father, and brother...may god be with you all.

wow.....this takes you by surprise...
He's been here a long time and I don't think I've ever seen him make a negative comment about anyone here. Truly one of the good guys, and I always wanted to meet him. Guess that won't be happening. My condolences and thoughts are with brian and his family
Hey Amanda,
Don't know if you really remember me, but yeah. I am in Balad right now. I will be looking to find the article in the "Stars and Stripes" over here to find out what happened for sure. As soon as I find it I will scan it and send you a copy. I will be flying to Mosul tomorrow morning so you may not hear from me for a couple days, but I will for sure let you know anything I can find out over here. Send my prayers out to his family and friends. If you need anything just PM, email, or IM me, I am online most of the time when I am not at my office.

MS Walk April 21 - thanks to those of you who have supported me!
OMG
While I've never been really happy about the war, I've always had the most amount of respect for those troops that are over there. Every military person that's over there is doing something I don't think I could ever do, and they all deserve massive respect from us all.
SAINT, may you rest in peace, and thank you and all of your fellow soldiers for your service. You seemed like a great guy, and we will miss you at JBO.
My thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to all friends and family.
