just bought an 05 cavy and the front end was badly damaged. so i got a new bumper and my buddy had an absorber but its breaking apart. do i need it for a stock bumper? will the bumper mount up and stay on. thanks

It will help support the bumper also.. Would be preffered.

I would recommend putting on that absorber.... You don't need it to keep your bumper on, but like Jason said it does support the bumper slightly. I have the wrong absorber on my rear bumper and I can't put any pressure on it because of that. Also, if you do happen to get into another front end collision that absorber will at least take some of the damage and not completely destroy your car.
