I just got done pulling my headlights apart. I tinted the turn signal lens and reflectors with VHT and painted part of them silver. When I put them back together I used some vinyl to make eyelids for them which are already bubbling up because of the heat. I'm liking them so far but I can't decide whether or not I want to commit and paint the eyelids on...what do you guys think of the headlights and do you think I should go with the eyelids and paint em or just pull em off and call it good?

I like the lids. I would go all the way across the top of the head light though.

weld them onto the hood... IMHO painted/vinyl eyelids don't look good. they can be good for planning what you are going for, but not for final use.

yeah im not much feeling the eyelids. either weld them onto the hood or skip them.

damn dude ive been wanting to do that to mine for a while now how hars was it to bake the lights., they look awsome exept not digging the eyelids, like stated above weld some onto your hood by the way can you post pics of your car we both have a ultra silver last model cavy

It wasn't very hard to take the lights apart. I just threw em in the oven at 250 for like 10 minutes and pulled them apart. If you do it just be careful because the glue that they use to put them together is like melted gum when it gets hot and gets all over everything and it's a pain to get off.

I like the tinted lights. Looks good.

The eyelids on the other hand dont look good at all. As stated, get them welded into the hood and it will look magnificent.
