College Paint Job Progress and Pics

Well my car started out as a purple Sunfire and then evolved over time. I hit a tree and smashed the front so I thought it would be cool to get a cavalier z24 front end and convert it. After getting tired of having a purple and black car(it looked like a bruise) my buddy and I decided to try to achieve a decent paintjob using good ol rattle cans...its been interesting so far.

For a rattle can job it looks decent so far. I'm interested in seeing the finished product.

I go to UNOH too. I've seen your car around campus.

You can be great with them, but the paint just doesn't hold up to the elements.

Once i had a plymouth acclaim that was given to me. I rattle canned the entire car flat black and taped off a think neon pink stripe. got some cheapo chromy-wheel covers and put on some neons that were laying around. 60 for paint, 20 for hubcaps, and 5 to wire the lights, it was an improvement. Definitely not to be done to a good car, but when you know the car is a year or less from the scrapper why not right? It became a 20 ft car. From the end of the parking lot it was nice, but def not something to brag about. I can understand why someone who wrecked their car, rebuilt, and while still in college would do this. I only plan to keep my Cav running for another year hence the Sharpie Project. PROPS for diving in. My ish pain job gave me respect for a good one.

Yeah, we should, it's hard to find something to do in lima, lol.

I'm using rattle cans to touch up some spots on my car. Don't think I'd do an entire car with them though.

Other than satin black I wouldnt suggest it. It wont lay on even and will look crappy. I do agree some spots can be fixed, at least for a while, with the spray can. I spray canned my spoiler on my vert last summer and other than the imperfections from that not so smooth sanding job you cant tell the difference color wise.
