Okay, apparently ever since I had picked up my LSS, I have had an issue with my wipers when I turn them on intermittent. What happens is, they would randomly stop in the middle of the cycle and never is always on the same spot. Either will stop going up or returning. Has anyone come across this before, and if so, what would be the repair? Replacing the motor unit, harness, what?

Mine does the same thing, I was thinking it might be the lever inside the car. If I tap down it intermittent stops in middle, then continues. If I hold lever down hard it goes normal, both constant low and high speeds work normal, and intermittent sucks, it like skips all the way up! Yours doing exactly that?
To kind of make it easier, I took a video on my phone as I was traveling home tonight from work. Yeah I know, pretty stupid to do as I drive. Anyway, sorry for the poor resolution plus it was at 6:15 PM, dark and wet, but hopefully this will translate the issue.

Listening in on this, mine just started this toady on my '04, except they always stop in the same place.
Same problem on my 05' im listening as well.
Could be the circuit board going out.
My 88 wipers turn on by themselves and do a single sweep once in a while. I was searching for a cause and found it is likely the wiper motor circuit board. GM (and others) have had some problems with this in the past. Chevy and Buick had recalls on some models to replace the wiper motor board (cavaliers were not on the recall list).
Some of the things that can happen is wipers stop during a cycle (like yours are doing). Cycle by themselves. Stop working form time to time. Other things I don't recall right now. But all those are normally due to the circuit board failing.
You can buy a new board (around $70.00) and replace it, or buy a new wiper motor which would include a new one. Might find a rebuilt motor that includes a new circuit board too. If you decide on a rebuilt motor, be sure it does have a new board installed.

Just be sure it does include the board (depending on what year you have) as some news ones I see DO NOT include the board.
The 1982 - 1983 had the module. It is separate from the motor.
The 84 - 94 do not have a module, they have a circuit board that is mounted on the front of the motor housing. Not sure about the 95 up.
You can check your part number and see if it is the same one that was in the recall. If so, call your Chevy dealer and see if it is covered for replacement. I read were some people did this and were able to get their boards replaced for free, since it was the same one as what was in the recalled trucks and Buicks. Worth a shot, since a new motor
with a new board is pretty expensive. A module is pretty cheap though, if your does happen to take the module.
That one in the link has an on unit circuit board, not a module.
The 'module' (on those that take one) is a separate unit that isn't part of the motor. According to the GM books.
Basically there are two type designs. One that uses the module part number 10036435 (earlier years) and one that uses a circuit board part number 22039316 (84-94, as far as my books go).
The motor (like the one in the link) also uses the circuit board on the motor, not a module. I don't have the part number for the board it takes though. At any rate, it is a moduleless design. So it appears that probably only the 1982 and 1983 cars had a module. All others have the on motor circuit board, just different ones depending on the years.

Chances are it is only the board going bad, not the motor. You can probably just change the board and your wipers will work fine again
