Ok guys,
so I came across a carbon fiber hood locally for under $200 CAD. The only problem with it is that there are spots in the clear coat where its wearing through. The seller also says its a yellow/black carbon fiber. I was wondering if refinishing the hood in a transparent black that would still allow one to see the carbon fiber would be a good idea.I'm also open to any other ideas that you may have. If you could also give me a ballpark cost it would be great.

He lives about an hour away, so i asked him to take some better quality pics because i dont really feel like driving a 2 hr round trip for nothing...and then he replys:
"i would love to send some pics but i dont have the internet i only get to check my emails every once in a while. Give me a call if you want some more info."
and this guy knows absolutely nothing about his own damn hood. Make/model etc...
i don't get how people can try to sell something for a price w/o even giving any info.
Id keep on looking then you'll come across something theres a guy on here selling a ss hood with evil eyes maybe check into that i really like the look of evil eye hoods on those models
id say its worth $200. the gel coat is just faded from the sun is all... normal occurance.

Yeah, i figured it was faded...so i asked him. He said it wasn't...but he seems like he doesn't know snakes from dildos so I don't know if i should trust him :p
i mean just two hours take the drive check it out dude.
oh my bad i wasn't even thinking lol so any updates on this hood it stumps me a guy would try to sell you a hood for 200$ and doesn't have the slightest idea about it and can't get you any pics worth looking at but ive never heard of useing the transparent paint so i can't really comment on that but if it would make it look like a normal carbon fiber hood id say go for it :]
make him meet you half way. if he is sirious about selling it he will meet you....
