i have disabled the drl and would now like to stop the lights from flashing when you lock or unlock the doors using the remote because i dont think it is good for the hid's to have them do that. if anyone can help me out with the problem please let me know. thx

Interesting, because I thought that on the 00-02 models, the drl wire coming from the bcm was the locking/unlocking flash as well.

i disabled drl and installed hid's but they still flash with the lock/unlock with the remote
I disabled my drl and installed hids and i don't get the flashing.
Mines an 02 tho.
On my 03, I disabled the DRLs and still had flashing lights. You need to go into the BCM with a Tech2 to have them not flash when locking and unlocking.
If your nice, your GM dealer may do it, just gunna have to pay.

As far as I know the Tech2 is the only way to disable them. I know I was able to take it, and turn on and off when if my lights flashed and my horn honked when hitting lock and unlock. I also disabled my DRLs with the Tech2 vis some tricky stuff a fellow JBOer told me, awesome not having to cut wires... but good luck finding a dealer that would do that, I did it myself.
