Lets talk 3rd gen side skirts
Monday, March 01, 2010 6:12 PM
Since it seems nearly impossible to find a set of used 03 - 05 LSS Skirts

i need a set of sideskirts that are flat on the bottom. Ive ruled out 95 - 99 sunflower skirts as they are too short and stock looking. my 95 - 02 Z skirts suck because of the retaining brackets are easily broken on a lift and when they do, there is a notciable gap between the car and the skirt.

Import Fighter skirts have been suggested...

I've also noticed Wings West Type W skirts, does anyone know if the bottom is flat?

i only want a urethane skirt, there is nothing fibreglass on my car and i'd like to keep it that way

EDIT: also can someone get me the P/Ns for the 03-05 LSS skirts... i wanna see what i can get them new with my GM employee discount

Evo 5 sides? They're a reasonable facsimile of the Xtreme tuner sides, I'm sure you seen those.

My bad thought they were Duraflex, which I thought wasn't fiberglass.

From the sticky:
Third Generation Info:
6) Side skirts are interchangeable between sunfires and cavaliers.
7) Some side skirts are interchangeable between 4door and 2door jbodies (ex. Importfighter, z24, buddyclub 2, anything that does not flare up at all)
I would assume so, unless somebody speaks up otherwise.

Those show as the Sedan P/N, i couldnt find the coupe ones in that thread. I wonder if there is a difference

If the sticky reads true, they will fit as they don't stick up any. I can't imagine they would make two different sets of side skirts, seeing as how much fits between the two. And, according to the dealer brochure, wheelbase is the same between coupe and sedans. Can't see how it wouldn't work.

welll what im worried about is under the car. Many years of careless tech's putting my car on a lift has damaged my Z skirts, and even when i try to lift it and im careful it still flexes a little bit. So i'm looking for a skirt that is flat down to the pinch welds.

sedan and coupe are most likely the same. you can actually us a DS on the PS and vice versa since they flare out in the middle and then taper back to original size at the end.

2dr n 4dr wheel base different,

4dr has no spot in the rear base to screw into...

2dr n 4dr wheel base different,
I took it straight from the dealer brochure:
Wheelbase (104.1 in.) and Overall length (180.9 in.) is the same for the both the coupe and sedan, 2003 model. Overall length may be different, but I doubt wheelbase changed from '00 to '03-'05.

no pics, but the front and back mount in the inner fender. the sides are taped along the bottom edge!
