B-pillar trim fit
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 9:39 AM
Hey guys.. Need a new b-pillar cover (not sure the exact word for it.. the black plastic piece) for my 99 Z24.. Im just wondering what model years were the same panel eg. 95-00?

About to hit the wreckers and knowing a model year range will help.. tried searching it but gave up as the iphone isnt the best for forum browsing.. lol

Thanks

ok.. guess i'll answer my own question in case anyone else searches it.. the b-pillar applique (as they call it) is the same for every model year 95-05, only depends on coupe or sedan...

it's on the outside of the B pillar. though yes, it is on the door itself, it's still right where the B is. thus, b pillar.

but yes, it's the same 95-05 but at the same time, different for coupe's and sedans.

wow..i didnt realize i had to be so specific about it.. I figured b-pillar cover was simple enough so anyone reading would know what part i was referring to..

door frame applique doesnt exactly narrow it down.. considering nobody except the GM uses the word applique.. lol... and there are many trim pieces on the door that may fit into that depending on who is reading it...

anyways... yea.. i knew just by looking coupe and sedan are different.. had to look up the part on gm to know there were the same on all 3rd gen cars... thats surprisingly convenient from GM... but cheap.. which isnt surprising at all..

Don't worry about "big daddy" he is an old man who is angry at the world.

He also thinks that stupid thing with the IP address is cool even though everyone has seen it before because its older than the internet. It's also a lie because I am on my work computer and I don't surf porn because if I did I would be fired.

what big daddy was getting at was.. there is no b-pillar on his car

Coupes only have a A and a C pillar. Sedans have A, B, and C-pillars

Here is a nice little diagram for you to refer to

well yeah he is right, technically.. lol... i do admit that... But everyone knew exactly what i meant when saying it, right??
it just seemed like the simplest way to describe it at the time...

But in case its not just a smart-ass remark and its actually meant to educate.. im aware there is no physical b-pillar on my car.. thanks tho..
Im not new to the internet or forums.. i always assume smartass rather then education so my bad if i took that wrong....

I can pretty well assure you me and big daddy weren't being smart asses but putting the correct info out there and big daddy said it himself if you were curious as to what he was talking about he would have no problem explaining it, but some people wouldn't care so he didn't bother explaining it unless someone were to ask.

Like i said... i kind of expect one over the other when it comes to forums of any kind, and i have seen quite a bit of childish crap on here so i took that the wrong way it seems.. but its good to know there are some grown ups kicking around too.. i have to get used to who is who on here...

Was that a question or a statement? I can't tell due to your total lack of punctuation.

No. Jesus should be capitalized since it is a name. Also the comma after lol really makes no sense.

If you don't care and it's just a forum why does it bother you so much that you keep posting?

Oh, and by the way I am an atheist so I God doesn't praise me.
