Relocating fuel door behind sunfire tail light

Hey I have a 2000 sunfire and I’m really debating on if I should relocate my fuel door to behind my tail light or not. Because im getting the car repainted in a few weeks I just want some opinions on the matter thanks.

And yes I did use the search found a few treads but no one saying if they had any problems or if they like it or not.

If done right you shouldn't have any problems....just make sure your extension line is clamped and sealed properly or you may smell some fumes in the cabin area since the line will run through your trunk. I relocated mine to the edge of the trunk opening like some others have on here and I haven't had any problems so far.

I know back in the day someone had theirs behind the tailight and had a actuater open it up with the push of a button. They lived in maryland, just cant rememebr who it was. When I had my sunfire I was the first one on the forum to relocate it in the trunk opening. As stated above as long as you make sure its sealed you shouldnt have any problems. Never had any with mine

AND id be careful if you decide to do it in the trunk.

At least around here we have had a lot of people breaking into cars lately because they are too poor to have real jobs.

So if you put it in the trunk on the rain drainage area like many do, make sure you dont have a system so everytime you are filling up potential thieves can shop your trunk for what they like...

Wouldnt want a cool mod to be the cause of a break in from low life punks...
