Just like the title says. I am looking for stock wattage or less, it can be filament or L.E.D., bright enough to light up a no-lite driveway, but the main thing is that one can see it in the day time when turned on.
What would you recommend? Names and and location where purchased is truly appreciated.
BTW we use back up light: 3057.

i have led 3057s, they are brighter than stock, but still i am lacking side to side light. the brake lights are brighter on either side of the car than the reverse lights are.
ditto. i would also like something brighter
rewired mine to use both filaments at the same time, i'm not worried about heat for the amount of time that i'm in reverse.

i wish mine worked, haha. ever since the clutch install a year ago they dont work anymore

probably that stupid sensor. if i could figure out the wiring for the reverse lights maybe i could hook them up to a switch.. anyone have a diagram?
how would LEDs look for the tails?
also where do you all get your LEDs? i picked some up from superbrightleds.com and they are pretty decent, just curious if there are any other good places

Modify the housing to hold two bulbs. Problem solved.
I know a few guys with trucks who put an extra set of reverse lights under the bumper. You could tuck it under there and it would be kind of like rear fog lights.

I was looking at PIAA but they don't have the one filament design. I am looking at the LEDs but worried they will not light up on the side to good.

^^ I've actually heard good things about those bulbs on other forums when I was searching around. I'm worried that the extra color is going to actually decrease light output though.

I'll have a review in 2-3 business days
I think if you changed the reverse light portion of the inner tails and added them to the brake lights, that would update the look of the car. Newer generation cars have more or less stopped using extra lenses and pieces that don't light up or are of no use/extra.
From there, I would hook up a set of small fogs. Particularly if you have the Type-J rear, you can mount rectangular fogs sideways in the side vents. Also consider that Euro and JDM cars of some makes have 'rear fogs' already, but they're added to the brake lights.. perhaps something similar but for reverse lights.
Heck, all of ya have me beat, I still need to replace my reverse light switch :p
reverse lights are over rated LOL. I just tap the brake if I need more light

You wouldn't happen to have a diagram on which wire to run the switch would you?? I dont like tapping my breaks for light every night haha

The switch is attached to the trans. It's turned on when you put the trans into reverse [5spd]. Mine went out after only 15k mi. Yes I do a lot of short trip driving and backing up, but still...one would think they'd last longer than that. I got my replacement switch off of Amazon.com for about $17....beats the crap out of the $50 the stealership wanted. Now it's just a matter of finding the ambition to install it :p
Did you get a new sensor from them or a switch, like why cant you get any old switch and wire it to turn them on when necessary?

you could if you wanted to run new wiring, and have to turn on a switch every time you wanted them on....
Yeah ill just get a new sensor, by switch i thought everyone meant a toggle switch but i guess that sensor or whatever some people refer to it as a switch correct me if im wrong.

Have any pics?
I, too, am wondering how that went.

I don't practice what I preach, because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to.
Sorry i'm late guys.. They do seem a good bit brighter than the stock bulbs, and they burn hot as f*ck lol. I plan on wiring the lights so both filaments burn at the same time, so I'll post up pics when I get that done also. I'll try to get a shot from inside the car tonight.
Also sorry for the blurry pic
